When the blues comes on your psyche like a creeping vine, I suggest sending some praises up to God. I have this very sensitive soul. However, I can't allow my flesh to rise up and take control of my emotions. If you allow your feelings to rule you, then you will live life on a roller coaster with the world at the switch.
No more blue Mondays. You know, we need a reality check. Perhaps we should write a check list of all of the blessings or some of the blessings your list would probably be too long. I mean there are blessings around us that are tangible and not airy. If you are reading this, then you have access to the web. You can see. You may be sitting in a chair. You are probably under a roof. Let's thank God for all of that too. I mean you are alive. You still have another day to love and praise Him and love your family, friends and neighbors.
If you are drawing breath and conscience, then you can pray for healing. You can pray for healing for your family. You can go to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords to change your today and your tomorrow.
Let's make Monday, a day to praise Him for the beginning of the work week. (If you are looking for some guidance on praise take a look at Psalms 146, 147, 148, 149, 150 just as a start.) A clean do the right thing slate so to speak. I mean last weeks issues and problems are already done, and you should have already prayed on them. You should expect those to be handled by God--move on. So on Monday, you have a new chance to give Him glory through your love for others, your hard work and your reading and meditating on His word--and your worship and praise of course.
Refuse to allow Mondays to be blue, make them Blue Skies and blessed days ahead.
Final thoughts: I think that you should know that the price has already been paid for your sins. If you can't think of anything else, thank God that He sent His son to die for you and I. Thank God that our eternity is secure and paid for.
